Audrey and Spencer Hitched: Ribault Club Wedding

There were so many pretty details in this wedding that I couldn’t even remotely fit them all in this one post. From the signage (Audrey could have a second career as a chalk board calligrapher . . . is that a thing?), to the beautiful flowers by Shea Hopely (all of my faves: pink peonies, peach Juliet garden roses, sweet pea, hydrangeas, ranunculus, eryngium, etc), the array of soft hued maids gowns, the cigar boxes displaying the mac and cheese toppings, bunting banners and everything in-between, it was a photographer’s delight. We had a beautiful spring day and a beautiful historic venue in the Ribault Club. Audrey and Spencer wanted a lot of personal touches in their day and they surprised each other with gifts delivered before their first look. Audrey received two special cards with heartfelt words and Spencer received his favorite Bostonian beer (Bohemian National) ordered in just for him. During the ceremony the officiant (who happened to be Spencer’s Aunt) read a letter from each set of parents which I don’t think they will ever forget. The couple lives in Washington DC but Audrey is from Jacksonville and Spencer is from Boston so they figured since everyone would be travelling anyway, why not give their guests a wedding weekend in a Southern coastal town. They incorporated southern touches in the menu including their signature cocktail: spiked sweet tea. After the funny toasts were made, lots of dancing seen, and the cake was cut, the couple ended the night with a getaway in a vintage Rolls Royce named Sir Gilbert. Gilbert is also a family name so it was a perfect match. Audrey and Spencer were off to their Turks and Caicos honeymoon and a lifetime of love.

Happy Easter Weekend!

I love that Easter gives you an excuse to go all out pastel. I found these Eryngium (spiky ones) flowers, pink Majolika spray roses, and Mojito hydrangeas at Whole Foods and couldn’t resist. We are gearing up for a wedding on Saturday and I can’t wait to see what the florist Shae Hopely comes up with for our couple’s vintage wedding. We will be sure to post some photos from the wedding soon. Then Sunday is Easter! I hope everyone has a great Easter as we appreciate the sacrifice of our Savior and ultimate freedom in Christ. Happy Easter!

Saddlerock Ranch Landscapes: Malibu California

We’re coming up on two years since our 5th anniversary trip to California and Hawaii and I have had Cali on my mind today. I don’t think we ever shared these photos so it’s a special treat today. I hope you enjoy!
